Over the course of 2025, Twegaite Global will share program highlights from its historic 1st Annual Global Convention. This milestone event marked the rebirth of the organization and set the stage for bold new initiatives in Busoga and across the diaspora.

- Purpose: To reboot the organization after years of dormancy, revitalize development efforts in Busoga, and unite the diaspora for socio-economic progress.
Background
- Twegaite was founded in 1998 in New Jersey.
- From 2008–2014, the organization launched and sustained impactful socio-economic programs both in Busoga and abroad.
- From 2015–2023, activities stalled, and momentum was lost.
- The 2025 Convention rebranded the organization as Twegaite Global ushering in fresh leadership, renewed energy, and a clear vision for impact.
The primary mission: Reignite stalled programs and chart a bold path forward.
- Relaunch community development projects.
- Attract healthcare and business investment into Busoga.
- Strengthening cultural exchange and intergenerational leadership.
- Identify strategic economic opportunities.
- Expand global partnerships and awareness

- Health Forum: Challenges and solutions in Busoga's healthcare system.
- Poverty Alleviation Strategies:
- One-Acre Project (sustainable agriculture)

- Mango Farming & Value Chain (Ronald Lwabaayi)
- Discouraging sugarcane monoculture
- Twegaite Past, Present and Future (Dr. Eng. Andrew Mwase, Ms. Monica Namukawana RN, MSN-L and Mr. Denis Bogere)
- Tech Forum: Leveraging digital tools for development.
Day 3 – May 24
- Water & Sanitation: Plan to build boreholes and run radio awareness programs in Lusoga.
- Finance & Microenterprise: Emphasis on cooperative revitalization and small investment models.
- Entertainment: Boat Cruise
Day 4 – May 25
- Education & eSchool: Digital education solutions with no upfront cost. (Mr. George Kakaire)
- Trade & Investment: Focus on small-scale, high-demand businesses in Uganda.
- Real Estate: Introduced new development initiatives.
- Church Service: Community worship at Uganda Community Church, LA.
- Closing Dinner & Cultural Show: Cultural performances and traditional Busoga cuisine.
